Dr Vera Kinzel

Dr Vera Kinzel is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in Knee, Shoulder, Elbow, and Trauma surgery for the adult and paediatric population.



Dr Kinzel graduated from the prestigious medical school of Münster in Germany, where she also obtained a PhD in medicine. After obtaining her medical degree, Dr Kinzel moved to the UK, where she completed her surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. She then moved to Australia, where she was selected for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Advanced Training Program in Orthopaedic Surgery.

After completing her specialist training in Orthopaedics & Trauma in 2009, Dr Kinzel went further and sub-specialised in Knee and Sports Medicine and did a one-year fellowship at the North Sydney Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Centre and the Sydney Orthopaedic Research Institute. She then completed a further fellowship in Shoulder surgery in Hamilton, New Zealand. This has given her the opportunity to work with some of the world's most well-known orthopaedic surgeons.

Dr Kinzel has a strong interest in research and development and has published numerous papers in Knee, Trauma and upper limb surgery. Her work has been presented at both national and international meetings. Throughout her working and training career, Dr Kinzel has worked in hospitals in England, South Africa, the USA, Canada, Israel, New Zealand and Germany, which gave her a broad foundation of orthopaedic surgery.

Vanessa has been working alongside Dr Vera Kinzel since April 2025, bringing with her extensive experience from an orthopaedic practice where she worked for nearly 15 years. She completed a Diploma of Executive Assistance at Williams Business College in 1990 and has since built a strong career in executive and administrative roles, combining professionalism, focus and drive.

Married with three grown children, Vanessa brings warmth, positivity and a strong sense of balance to her role. She is the backbone of Dr Kinzel’s practice, overseeing day-to-day administrative and clerical operations with efficiency and care. Vanessa thrives in a fast-paced patient environment, approaching each day with positive energy and a calm, solutions-focused mindset. She is deeply committed to delivering seamless, high-quality customer service, and patient care is at the heart of everything she does. All interactions with Vanessa are consistently professional, pleasant and reassuring, leaving both patients and colleagues feeling supported and confident.
